wants to put romney away. >> we also had another straw poll from michigan this morning and i think it was 50% -- more than 50% here. 50.9%. the mackinaw straw poll, rick perry 16.8%. mitt romney runs away with it now. he's basically the hometown boy in michigan. his father was governor there and this is activist republicans, romney's a very familiar name. is there anything we should read into any of these straw polls? >> you don't want to overinterpret straw polls. 600 or 700 people in michigan voting in that, 400 or 500 in florida. the races continue to be unsettled. i think what we've learned this weekend is that there's going to be an extended fight between mitt romney and rick perry. they both have some strength. they both have a considerable amount of money, we think, the ability to raise money. and neither of them have closed the deal. that's what i take away from this weekend. >> mitt romney has been an incredibly lucky candidate. when he was coasting along as the front-runner, in the spring and summer the other candidates didn't want to engage too much with one another. the
